Messiah Workshop, Saturday 13 June 2026, 2-5pm - Booking Open!

Our preparations start with a workshop led by our Musical Director, David Bednall. The workshop will take place at Bishop Sutton Village Hall (Wick Road, Bishop Sutton, BS39 5XQ). Tickets cost £20, which includes score hire, and tea and cakes.

So that we can ensure we have enough scores (and cakes!) please pre-book using one of the following methods:

In both cases you will be asked to complete a simple form with name, contact details, voice etc.

Autumn term rehearsals

We invite individual singers to join Chew Valley Choral Society as we learn the piece together during the autumn term. We will start rehearsals on 8 September. Singers joining us for the term will pay the same termly fee as existing members.

Experienced singers

Experienced singers who know the piece well are welcome to join us for the final rehearsal and concert. Singers joining us for the rehearsal and concert only will be asked to contribute £25 towards the cost of organising the event.

Rehearsal and concert, Saturday 28 November

There will be a full rehearsal with the orchestra during the day, and the concert will be held at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Keynsham.
